Jennifer Mulhern, cello

Having been the featured cellist with Omar's electro-acoustic live ensemble for over two years, Jennifer Mulhern holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Texas State University after serving as principal cellist for four years in the Texas State Symphony Orchestra, and also worked with Omar to form the string section for award-winning electronic-pop band Matson Belle from 2003 to 2004. Her distinctive style, which combines an extensive classical training with a heavy dose of inspiration from modern pop, punk, rock, and blues music, can be heard on select pieces from Omar's first solo album, "Forever Red". Jennifer is currently performing and recording with Ear to Anon, a solo project spearheaded by drummer and percussionist Jason Traweek, as she begins her creative journey as a solo artist, performer, and songwriter on her acoustic cello and her six-string Ned Steinberger electric cello.
