Ryan Redfern, bass guitar
Ryan Redfern brings a powerful, yet flavorful foundation and groove to Omar's original, eclectic fusion of classical, jazz, rock, world, and electronic music. The Palm Springs, CA native started his his musical career, which has spanned over twenty years, with piano lessons at age six and gradually progressed onto guitar lessons, ultimately choosing the bass as his main instrument. Strongly influenced by experimental, world music, progressive rock and jazz artists such as Victor Wooten and Tony Levin (bassist for Peter Gabriel and King Crimson), he has appeared and recorded on several albums in Austin and Nashville, one of which achieved high acclaim in South Africa.
